Today is the first day of Book Blogger Appreciation Week. The topic for today is to post about new blogs that you have discovered over the past year of if you are new like me to post about your first book blog.
Today I would like to give credit to Amanda who runs the "Zen Leaf Book Blog". I love this blog. This is a list of what I like about it and why I keep going back.
I love the name - Zen Leaf I am not sure what is the inspiration for this great name but I wish I had thought of it myself.
I love the layout of the page. I have majorly struggled with blogspot and getting it to look the way I want - eventually I abandoned it and created the site that you are on here so I really love teh look of this page and how it is structured.
I love the idea of reading the clasics - yes there are other good books out there that may eventually become classics but the classics are the classics and are clasics for a reason.
Readalong - I first stumbled onto this site - I say stumbled because that is baxically how I find anything on the net I poke around and eventually find something - because of a readalong the writer was hosting. Coincidentally it was for a book that I was planning to read so I am now in the middle of a great Bleak House Readalong. Two months ago I would not have had a clue had someone asked me about a readalong but now it is all that I can talk about. Never mind that I haven't posted I just can't keep up with the others.
Best for last - Perhaps the best thing about the blog is that in every entry you get a glimpse of the writer. In her profile Amanda describes herself as being quirky and perhaps some of that quirkiness somes across into the blog and spills over into the site.
I love it - you shoudl check it out.
