Blogger Interviews

Day 2 of Book Blogger Appreciation Week is the Interview day where each blogger is paired with another blogger and they interview each other.  I signed up late so I did not get an interview partner.  I am her interviewing myself if that is not too pretentious.

Q1  How did you come up with the name Bookscount?

I did not have a name for a blog in mind when I started to set this up.  It was just going to be Gina's blog.  But one part of the registration process asked me to put a name ( of course) and I had to think fast.  THis was all I could think of in the time.  I kind of like it though.  It is growing on me.

Q2  When did you start to review books?

I started to review books in 2009.  That is when I set up my reading social page through Facebook and started a vritual bookshelf.  I left a review of every book that I read and challenged myself to read more and more.  I started this blog a few months ago because reading social seems closed for me - I had started to wonder if anyone was actually reading the reviews I wrote.  It seemed all for nought.

Q3   Wht is it like having a demanding job and three small children?

It is difficult but I have found that no matter what the challenges we always find time for the things we love.  Somehow having the children makes me read more rather than less.  They are also the inspiration for the young readers section on my site.

Q4  What is the young readers section about?

I am hoping that the Young Readers section will develop into a resource for parents who want their children to read.  I am not sure of the direction yet but that is the goal.

Q5 Last question - Anything else about yourself?

Not really.  Just that I am hoping to participate in blogging more fully in the future and would love to follow the blogs of other Caribbean bloggers.

Ok so I did a little chuckle when I saw that you interviewed yourself. But it was not an evil chuckle. :-)I have a couple of question for you. What genre of books do you review? If you had one day to do anything you wanted to do without the hassle of work or kids, what would you do?

Dear Mis Tipsy,

I am so glad that you came to my site and that you took the time to read my "interview".

I review all genres of books, anything that I put my hands on to read. My favourite genre of literature is historical fiction. That just takes me away but I will read anything. In the young readers section I review and give recommendations on books that I read to my kids also. so its not really genre specific.

If I had one day to do anything I wanted I would read. If that was this weekend, I would try to catch up on the Bleak House Readlong that I am part of .

Thanks Again for being interested
